01/25: March for Life

March for Life

The annual March for Life will be held in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Jan. 25. Buses will depart from St. Paul’s Cathedral in Worcester on Thursday, Jan. 24 following the 7:30 PM Respect Life Mass. Arrival back in Worcester will be early morning on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Vacation Bible School Update

cupcakeThe VBS Birthday Party for Jesus was a great success.  10 children, 4 teens and 3 adults celebrated Jesus Birthday with games, crafts, music, a Veggie Tales Movie, and cupcakes.   Thank you all who participated and supported VBS 2013!

February Vacation Mini VBS: Polar Expedition: Jesus Love is Cool will be Wednesday, 2/20 – Friday, 2/22, 9:30am to 1:00pm.  This Mini VBS will be held in the Good Shepherd Parish Center. 


All children in Little Lambs through grade 4 are invited to participate in the Mini VBS program.  Please complete a registration form by February 2, 2013.  To cover the expenses and raise funds for the 2013 Summer VBS, the cost will be $10 per child with a maximum of $25 per family.   Adults and youth in grades 5 to 12 are welcome to join as volunteers.  Youth and adult volunteers please contact Donna Wilson directly at or 508-377-4043.  Our first preparation meeting will be on Wednesday, January 16, 6:30 to 8pm in the Parish Center


01/20: Senior Ministry Movie: October Baby

October Baby, a film about life and forgiveness, will be shown in the Senior Activities Room of the Parish Center on Sunday, January 20th at 1:00PM. The film, being shown to mark the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, is about a young woman named Hannah who learns that she is the survivor of an attempted abortion. Hannah embarks on an incredible journey to uncover her hidden past and find hope for her uncertain future. In the end she learns that life can be so much more than what you had planned. Rated PG-13, October Baby is open to all parishioners. Please join us.

01/05: Men’s Breakfast

Join us for the Men’s Breakfast at 7:30 AM in the Good Shepherd Parish Hall.

01/02: Good Shepherd to Host Peace of Bread

The Good Shepherd Team will be hosting the Peace of Bread Community Kitchen on January 2nd. Kitchen help should arrive around 3:00PM, while severs should arrive at approximately 5:00 PM.

12/29-30: New Day Ministry Weekend

Next weekend is our New Day Outreach Weekend. Monies received in the Good Shepherd Church replica on the last weekend of each month are used to help individuals and families from our parish, and also to support various community causes. Your generosity each month enables us to continue to help those in need.

12/29-30 Food Pantry Weekend

Next weekend is our Food Pantry Weekend. Donations this month will go to the Northbridge Assn. of Churches Food Pantry in Whitinsville. Please bring canned and non-perishable food items and personal care/household products when you come to Mass. Thank you.
