The Holiday Fair is Coming

On Saturday, November 9th Good Shepherd will hold its first annual Holiday Fair, which will take place in both the Parish Hall and Parish Center. From 9AM to 3PM visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities ranging from crafts to prizes to baked goods.

Got a sweet tooth? Treats will include homemade pies, fudge, a bake table, and cookie walk. And for those who prefer lunch before dessert, there will also be a Holiday Luncheon.

Need to find that perfect gift? Why not give something handmade? Items available for sale include jewelry, knitted or crocheted goods, handicrafts, rosaries, and designer Tees. You’ll also find a book sale and a silent auction. And if you need to come up with a little extra cash for your holiday shopping, try your luck at the raffle.

The Holiday Fair has something for those of all ages. Kids have the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts in the Kid’s shopping area, with all items priced at just a dollar a piece.  Meanwhile, as their parents shop teens and pre-teens can visit the Youth Center, where they compete in a series of games.

The Holiday Fair is part of a resurgence of activities taking place at Good Shepherd since the parish re-dedicated its School building last fall as the new Parish Center. The three floors of space, coupled with a newly renovated Parish Hall located beneath the church have opened up new opportunities for parish and community events. The 2013 Holiday Fair will be the start of a new tradition at the parish. You won’t want to miss it.
