Girl Scouts Recognized

On Sunday, April 27th Father Larry awarded Brownie Troops with a religious pin award called My Promise/My Faith. This pin, which girls can earn once a year, complements existing religious recognitions and allows all girls to further strengthen the connection between their faith and Girl Scouts.  See pictures below:

07/15/2014: Knights Of Columbus Meets

The monthly meeting of the Mumford Council #365, will be held  Tuesday, July 15th at the Council hall. There will be a pre-meeting meal at 6:15 PM, followed by the meeting at 7:00 PM. If you are not a member of the Knights of Columbus and would like to join us, please talk to any Knight or visit Founded in 1882, the Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic fraternal men’s organization. It is often referred to a strong right arm of the Catholic Church. Through their efforts, Knights support both the Church and their community. Locally, the Mumford Council #365 was chartered in 1898 and serves the parishes of St. Patrick’s in Whitinsville, St. Peter’s in Rockdale, Good Shepherd in Linwood, and St. Denis in Douglas. 05/17: Women’s Tea and Women’s Ministry

You are invited to join the Women’s Ministry at Good Shepherd!
Find out what we are all about and join us for our next event, a
Ladies’ Tea, on Saturday, May 17 at 1 PM in the church hall.
We are also seeking women who would like to help rejuvenate
this important ministry. If you are interested in helping to

05/03-05/04: Cardboard City

Support the Good Shepherd Youth Ministry as they experience the perils of homelessness. Youth will spend the night in cardboard housing learning what it is like to be homeless and will collect donations after Mass to support local causes. More details to come.

Good Shepherd Attends Men’s Conference

On Saturday, April 5th over a dozen men from Good Shepherd attended the 14th annual Men’s Conference. Don Bruneau, Bob Gazaille, and Jeff Gazaille were all members of the committee. Special thanks to Father Larry for his support since it’s inception and for  hearing confessions.  Next years is planned on March 21st 2015. Don
