On October 26  members of Youth Ministry joined together to help 5 of our parish families in need. They spent the day bagging and raking leaves.

11/29-11/30: Food Pantry and New Day Outreach

Food Pantry and New Day Outreach
“…I assure you, as often as you did it for one of my least
brothers, you did it for me.” Matthew 26:40 On the last full
weekend of each month, we have an opportunity to respond to
Jesus’ call for us to help those in need. Next weekend, November
29 & 30, is our Food Pantry and New Day Outreach weekend.

Food Pantry
This month our donations will go to the People First Food Pantry
in Uxbridge. Please purchase an extra item or two when you do
your shopping this week and bring them to church next weekend.
Displays with needed items are located at the side altar of Mary
and inside the main doors of the church.

New Day
Monies received in the Good Shepherd Church replica on the last
full weekend of each month are used to help individuals and
families from our parish, and also to support various community
causes. Your generosity each month enables us to continue to
help those in need.

Youth Ministry to Sell Luminaries

On the weekend of December 6 & 7, our Youth Ministry will have an insert in the bulletin. We will again be selling luminaries to line the walkways of our church on Christmas Eve, in memory
of, or in honor of, loved ones. Flyers will also be available in the rear of the church. Forms and payment are due back no later than December 15. Thank you in advance for your support.

12/07/2014: Happy Birthday Jesus Party

R.E. classes, or pick one up in the parish center, church hall, or Ministry in Action room in the back of the church. Adults and teens who wish to volunteer, please contact Donna Wilson at

02/05/2015: Catholicism Series Continues

On Thursday Dec. 4, we will begin a presentation of a 10 part series on Catholicism. This will be held in the St. John Paul II room of the Parish Center from 7 to 8:30 PM on 10 consecutive Thursdays, with a break on Christmas & New Year’s Day. This ground-breaking series is hosted by Most Reverend Robert Baron and was filmed on location in all corners of the world. The series discusses our faith on the topics of Jesus, his teachings, God the Father, the communion of Saints, and many other areas, in a manner that is easy to comprehend. Please join us for any or all of these presentations.

Get Ready for the Holiday Fair

On Saturday, November 8th Good Shepherd will host its second annual Holiday Fair and Luncheon, from 9 AM to 3PM. The Fair will take place in both the Parish Hall (located beneath the church), and the Parish Center (located behind the church), and feature a large selection of offerings—from crafts and baked goods to raffle items and children’s games.

A large selection of crafts will be available for purchase, included knitted and crocheted goods, jewelry, ornaments, rosary beads, designer T shirts, and much more. There will also be a kid’s Christmas  shopping table, where children will have the opportunity to buy gifts for family and friends for one dollar or less.  Gently used DVDs and other items will also be for sale.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Parish Fair will include its share of fresh baked goods, including a cookie walk, baked sale table, designer fudge, and homemade pies. For those looking beyond desserts, there will also be a Luncheon featuring homemade soups, sandwiches, potato salad, desserts, and more. Meat pies will also be available for sale. And if you want to take some of the recipes home with you, the parish will be selling a cookbook featuring family recipes gathered from across the parish community.

To raise funds for their summer mission the Good Shepherd Youth Ministry will be hosting a series of children’s games in their Youth Ministry Center, located in the basement of the Parish Center. Children will have the opportunity to win tickets to purchase fun prizes. Youth Ministry will also have their own table of items for sale.

Finally, for those looking to try their luck, the Fair will include a large raffle table that includes items and theme baskets generously donated by both parishioners and local businesses.
