02/14/2015: Valentine’s Day Mass of Remembrance

We have all been very blessed to have people of great faith and wisdom in our lives. Many of us have known people who sadly have passed away. Your great grandparents, grandparents, parents, children, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, mentors, and neighbors—they’ve all left their mark, graced our presence, and touched our lives. Good Shepherd Parish wants to honor, celebrate, and pray for all those we’ve lost—as well as those we’ve never met—with a Mass of Remembrance here on Valentine’s Day, February 14th at 10 AM.

We will record the names of our loved ones in our Remembrance Prayer Book, which will be located in the center aisle of the church and placed at the altar during the offertory. Uplifting music, prayerful readings, and votive candles will provide the perfect atmosphere for reflection and remembrance. What a loving way to begin Valentine’s Day!

We encourage everyone to come and bring friends to this heartwarming service. There will be coffee and pastry in the hall afterwards.

May you be blessed in 2015.

Evangelization Corner: January 18th, 2015

What is evangelization? It is holding Jesus in your heart and carrying Him to the hearts of others. It is a way of life. It takes place any time, and under any circumstances. Evangelization reaches out to everyone, including active and inactive Catholics, and those with no faith community. Here’s what you can do this week to spread the Good News: Reflect on “Are you willing to stand up for the rights of others?”
