Living Stations of the Cross

The Living Stations is going very well. Here is a list of the clothes your children need”

Greek Chorus (grade 5) and executioners – Neck to toe black. Black shirt, black pants, black socks. If you can’t get black socks, the children can go barefoot. With that many children using the stairs to the choir loft, if they wear shoes, it is very noisy.

Soldiers – tan shorts, and plain white t-shirts. At the moment, Walmart and Kohl’s have tan shorts in stock. The only kind of shoes they can wear are plain leather strap sandals. No flip flops. If they can’t get the sandals, again, they can go bare-footed.

Other than that, your child will be wearing a costume. We suggest that they wear summer weight, light-colored clothes underneath their costume, as it can get pretty warm on Good Friday evening with a packed church.

If there is any problem purchasing the shorts or t’s, please let us know.

Thanks

Carol

Happy St Patrick’s Day from Good Shepherd

alliebernie

Every Sunday after the 8:00 and 10:00 masses Good Shepherd welcomes parishioners to the Parish Hall for coffee, donuts, and some good conversation. It’s a great chance to relax with friends, meet new people, and in this case celebrate an affinity to light up shamrocks. It’s one of the many things that makes Good Shepherd such a welcoming atmosphere.

2015 Partners in Charity In Pew Appeal

Next weekend, March 14 & 15, is our In Pew Commitment Weekend for the 2015 Partners in Charity Annual Appeal. Once a year, we commit ourselves to this ongoing work by supporting this life giving appeal. We reflect on God’s great generosity, and respond with generous giving of our own. With your support, faith in action is visible every day in the compassionate outreach of Catholic Charities, to the least among us; in the prayerful witness of our retired priests and the joy of new priestly vocations; to the many diocesan ministries and programs that heal, teach, and care for others. Please come to Mass next weekend prepared to make your commitment to the appeal. There is an insert in this week’s bulletin which explains how to fill out the pledge forms that you will receive at Mass next weekend. Thank you.
