09/24/2016: People First Food Pantry 7th Annual Pasta Dinner

On SEPTEMBER 24–5:00-7:00 PM The People First Food Pantry are holding their 7th Annual Pasta Dinner at the VFW Post 1385. Dinner will include lasagna, pasta, meatballs, salad, rolls and dessert. Ticket prices are $10 adult and $7 for senior (over 65) or child (age 4 and younger). Tickets can be reserved by emailing Denise Mussulli at thepeoplefirstfoodpantry@msn.com. The raffle table and silent auction will have a lot of wonderful items like quilts from Blackstone Valley Needle Arts, an autographed football from Patriots player Rob Ninkovich and an autographed baseball from Red Sox player Robbie Ross! This year’s dinner will be in memory of one of our beloved volunteers, Lanny Remillard. Lanny was one of our longest serving volunteers, who truly lived his life to helping those in need. Part of the proceeds raised this year will help us to create a memorial garden at the food pantry in Lanny’s name. Volunteers to make lasagnas (meat and meatless) and volunteers to bake items are needed. Email Denise at the above web address if you can help.

Publicity Needed for Holiday Fair

Do you live in a high traffic area, Rt. 122, 146A, Route 16, East Hartford Ave., Granite/Oak Street, or any other area with great visibility? We’ve recently ordered a new batch of signs promoting the Good Shepherd Holiday Fair and need your help getting the word out. If interested in displaying one of these new signs on your lawn, please contact Jason Cote after mass or via email at Cote3@charter.net. Jason will also be returning signs to those who displayed them last year with the updated date. Thank you for helping to make this year’s fair a success.
