Liturgical Ministries

Those involved in liturgical ministries play key roles in providing welcoming, engaging, and spiritually enriching worship each Weekend as the congregation joins to celebrate Mass. You can find Ministry schedules here.

Ministries include:

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion serve the community by assisting with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and/or to the sick and homebound. Ministers have the desire to care for God’s people through the distribution of the Blessed Sacrament.
Proclaimers of the Word: Lay readers proclaim the scripture readings at Mass, with the exception of the Gospel. They may also announce the intentions at the general intercession, and in the absence of a cantor, may read the Psalms between the readings.
Altar Servers: The ministry of altar servers is to assist the celebrant and other ministers in the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy.
Ushers/Greeters: Parishioners who welcome the congregation to Mass and present them with the weekly bulletin. They later pass the collection basket and present the offering to the Church.
Decorators: The Decorating Committee works closely with all groups in the Parish to enhance worship by decorating the parish to complement the liturgical calendar.
